The Collier fountain pen from Edison Pen Company
Initial Impressions
The Collier from Edison Pen Company is my third fountain pen. This pen fits so well in my hand, and the nib writes so smoothly. The Collier is six inches long, making it a half inch longer than my Lamy Safari and one and a quarter inches longer than my Pilot Prera. It is also wider than the other two. The concave grip section comfortably keeps my hand in place, and the threads above the section go unnoticed when writing. And I cannot stop staring at the antique marble pattern in the barrel. You can get it in three other colors if you prefer.
This medium nib on the Collier makes a very wet line of ink, causing the written line width to be wider than the lines made by the Pilot Prera and Lamy Safari, which also have medium steel nibs. I'll probably order a fine nib for the Collier. However, you can see below that the medium nib in the Collier creates noticeable shading in the line, which I like.
