Twelve Mile Bayou, Louisiana

This is a small section of northern Louisiana's Twelve Mile Bayou. The bayou originates from the Caddo Lake Dam in the small town of Mooringsport and flows southeast to join with the Red River in Shreveport. My dad owns a small piece of property on the bayou. I used an app on my phone, plus the original land survey, to make a new map of the property for him. Here are few pictures of the bayou and the maps.

You'll notice I used the original survey text and map as the theme for this site. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I tend to think of philosophy as finding one's way around--around our world, around our minds, around our words, etc. Sometimes doing philosophy just puts you back where you were when you began. That's what I liked about the text in original land survey and why I made it a theme for my site.
